Overview

What makes our dementia care different.

Caring for someone with dementia requires a unique combination of expertise, patience, and empathy. At Evergreen, every member of our dementia care team has completed advanced training in dementia awareness, communication techniques, and person-centred care approaches.

We understand that dementia affects each person differently. Our care plans are built around the individual's life history, preferences, and remaining abilities. We focus on what people can do, not what they cannot. Through structured routines, familiar environments, and calm, reassuring interactions, we help maintain dignity and quality of life at every stage of the condition.

Common Questions

What training do your dementia carers have?

All our dementia carers complete the Dementia Care Skills Programme and hold a minimum of Level 3 in Health and Social Care. Many hold additional specialist qualifications from the Alzheimer's Society.

Can you support someone with advanced dementia at home?

Yes. With the right care plan, many people with advanced dementia can remain safely at home. We can provide multiple daily visits or live-in care depending on the level of support needed.

How do you handle challenging behaviours?

We use person-centred, non-confrontational approaches. Our carers are trained to understand the triggers behind behaviours and to respond with calm, reassuring techniques that de-escalate situations naturally.

Next Step

Discuss your care needs.

Every conversation begins with listening. Tell us about your situation and we will explain how dementia care could help.
